Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As the UX Design Lead, you will manage and mentor a small, centralised team of UX designers within our User Experience department. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our UX design strategy, enhancing the digital design system, and driving the maturity of our digital design efforts.
- Lead and develop a high performing UX team, shaping its vision, identity, and growth within the organisation.
- Define and own the experience and UX strategy, including evolving the digital design system and overseeing the UX process.
- Build and refine the UX community through establishing practices, processes, and ceremonies.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to align goals, timelines, and resources while ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Advocate for UX best practices, nurture talent, and stay updated with industry trends to continually enhance the design approach.
About You

- Demonstrable experience in leading and mentoring UX design teams, creating an inclusive and collaborative environment where understanding and addressing diverse member needs is paramount.
- Supportive leadership skills with the ability to inspire growth, development, and a member centric approach within your team of three who will report directly to you.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing your track record of delivering user centred, accessible, and impactful design solutions that cater to a wide range of user needs and perspectives.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, advocating for inclusive design practices that benefit all members and strategically evolving UX design systems accordingly.
- In depth knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and a genuine commitment to creating equitable and inclusive digital experiences for our entire membership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead your team and align stakeholders around the diverse needs of our professional community.
