The Parking Services team at Sheffield City Council is responsible for enforcing parking regulations throughout Sheffield. These regulations include off-street car parks, residents parking schemes, on-street pay & display, waiting, and loading restrictions.

We have exciting opportunities for motivated and hardworking individuals to join us as Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs). As a valuable part of our CEO team, you will enforce parking restrictions to ensure the free flow of traffic and correct use of parking spaces.
You will represent the council in assisting customers and members of the public and ensure the service is delivered in an effective, efficient, and courteous manner. You will also assist with road safety and environmental matters.
Full induction and training will be provided, along with a full uniform.
We have 2 vacancies:
1. 1 x Civil Enforcement Officer for evening work (currently working 3pm until 11pm)
2. 1 x Civil Enforcement Officer for daytime work (currently between the hours of 7.15am and 6.30pm)
What we need from you
* You will be a good listener and communicator, able to assimilate information and remain impartial.
* You will be able to store knowledge with the ability to adapt and react quickly to situations in a professional way.
* You will have experience dealing with confrontational situations and providing high-level public service with a self-driven nature.
* You will need to be fit as the work requires patrolling outside on foot in all weather conditions.
* You will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to cover shift patterns which are currently on a fixed rota pattern and work 5 days out of 7 including weekends. Weekend working attracts a pay enhancement on top of the starting salary.
* You will need to hold a full driving licence.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement.
