Complex Care Nurse

TRC has teamed up with a well-established care provider who specializes in person-centred care for adults and children with complex care needs to find an excellent Paediatric Nurse to cover their patch of clients in the Northeast of England.
My client is searching for a registered nurse who has experience with complex needs such as PEG, tracheostomy, and brain injuries to lead on assessments of new referrals and reviews of current service user care plans, as well as assist in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the clinical needs of the paediatric clients.
2. Deliver both theoretical and practical training to Complex Health Care Assistants.
3. Ensure that care assistants are competent in delivering specific delegated tasks.
4. Collaborate regularly with the Operations team to maintain up-to-date documentation.
5. Visit clients as specified, ensuring high standards of care, client safety, and happiness.
6. Support the Clinical Lead with clinical documentation, practice, and training updates.
7. Liaise with external professionals, adhering to NICE guidance and best practices.
8. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and liaise with the Registered Manager for continuous improvement.
9. Assist in pre-assessments of new clients.
10. Review and update care plans and clinical risk assessments.
11. Participate in the on-call service and attend regular meetings and training sessions.
12. Liaise with CCG/Commissioners and external professionals to deliver the best care.
13. Provide clinical support for allocated clients.
14. Ensure compliance with mandatory and specialist training for care staff.
15. Conduct meet and greets, risk assessments, reviews, and audits.
16. Maintain accurate medication records and complete audits.
Requirements:
1. Must have an active nursing pin, specific to children's care.
2. Must be a driver with your own car.
3. Must have the right to work in the UK.
4. Must have experience working with complex needs, either in the community or within a fast-paced environment.
