Job overview
We are delighted to recruit to our Anti-Coagulation team to support our patients at MFT. The hours of work will be Monday - Friday, usually between 08.00-16.00.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Anticoagulation Specialist Nurse, within the Inpatient Medical Specialities CSU. The anticoagulation team specializes in the care of patients receiving oral or parenteral anticoagulation treatment.
Interested candidates should have effective interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a diverse team, influence and negotiate effectively, and possess excellent organizational skills.
You must be a team player with exemplary communication skills, committed to the support and development of self and others, and motivated to achieve the highest standards of care for our patients.
Ideally, you will possess the non-medical prescribing qualification, although the right candidate will be supported to obtain this once fully trained.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly and forward-thinking team, with opportunities for specialist training and further study, including attendance at national conferences.

Qualifications
* Educated to diploma level
* Speciality qualification
* Graduate or working towards first degree in health-related subject
Experience:
* Experience within the clinical specialty of Anticoagulation
* Evidence of recent continuing personal and professional development, both clinical and managerial.
* Experience of delivering education and training to staff, patients, and care
* Demonstrates an understanding of various anticoagulants.
* 2 years experience
* Ability to communicate complex information to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals both verbal and written.
* Demonstrate negotiating and influencing skills.
* Ability to make calm rational decisions in the face of adversity.
* Ability to work solo if required.
* Ability to demonstrate imaginative and effective use of resources.
* Possess good IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills

* Undertaken a leadership programme e.g. LEO
