Overview: The institution is seeking a dedicated Trainer Assessor in Plumbing and Gas. This role involves managing a caseload of learners and delivering high-quality training, mentoring, and assessment to facilitate their qualification completion.
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Full-time, permanent (37 hours/week)
Salary: £25,918 - £39,004 per annum
Annual Leave: 27–34 days (based on service), plus bank holidays

Key Responsibilities of the Trainer/Assessor:
• Training and Mentorship: Manage learners, develop tailored learning plans, conduct initial assessments, and engage with employers.
• Instruction and Assessment: Deliver training sessions, monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare learners for Gateway and EPA.
• Administration and Support: Interview and assess candidates, ensure accurate documentation, and support learners throughout their journey.
• Health and Safety: Promote compliance and best practices.
• Employer Engagement: Build relationships with employers, support recruitment, and liaise with EPAOs.
Qualifications and Experience required for the Trainer Assessor:
• Essential:
o Level 3 Plumbing qualification (e.g., NVQ or Advanced Craft).
o Domestic gas certifications (CCN1, CENWAT).
o Level 3 TAQA or equivalent, or willingness to achieve.
o Recent relevant experience and strong communication skills.
• Desirable:
o Industry-specific certifications and knowledge of current training systems.
o Experience mentoring apprentices and using digital platforms.
Special Conditions:
• Must have a valid driver’s licence with business insurance or equivalent transport.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Flexible working, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.
