Due to retirement of the long-serving Head of Humanities, we are seeking to appoint a Head of History to join our highly successful team. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to motivate students through inspirational teaching. Impact and ambition is valued as highly as experience.

· Be a History specialist with the drive to motivate and challenge students
· Set and maintain high standards for academic achievement and behaviour
· Contribute to the development and review of the curriculum so students are inspired to learn
· Proactively contribute to the development of the department through professional development
· Have a commitment to developing practice and pedagogy
· Believe in creating strong relationships with students and contribute to the pastoral work of the school
