We're looking for a new Regulatory Assurance Advisor to join our Regulatory Assurance team at the Regulator of Social Housing. The role can be based in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds or Bristol., This is a collaborative role, working flexibly with colleagues in the team and across the organisation to support and deliver robust regulatory assurance and quality assurance processes, as well as helping to develop and implement new approaches, contributing to a range of strategic projects focused on specific objectives.
You will develop and maintain the framework we use to analyse evidence and intelligence about what is happening in the social housing sector. This includes reviewing how the framework is working in practice to make sure our approach to regulation is consistent and evidence based. You will also manage key activities that quality assure our work and coordinate the publication of high quality and timely regulatory judgements., We carry out anonymous shortlisting as part of our commitment to Equality and Diversity and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to recruitment.
As the successful candidate you will have excellent and established research and analytical skills and be confident in using IT and data systems and be able produce reports and present findings to inform effective decision-making. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be self-motivated and confident working independently.
You should also have well-developed networking skills, with the ability to work across team boundaries and build constructive relationships with staff at all levels. You will be able to contribute ideas to challenge and improve processes. You should also be a problem solver, able to work accurately and to agreed timescales.
This role can be based out of any of RSH's core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
