My client is currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy office. Parking on site and a paid day off for your birthday!
This is a full-time permanent position.
Salary: £24,000 - £25,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Main Responsibilities:
1. Daily reconciliation
2. Managing the accounts department email box
3. Checking nominal codes and resolving any outstanding issues
4. Checking and monitoring purchase ledger
5. Accurately entering supplier invoices into the accounting system
6. Ensuring invoices are matched to purchase orders and delivery notes where applicable
7. Handling discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders or delivery notes
8. Preparing payment runs, ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices
9. Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
10. Maintaining accurate and organized records of all transactions
Due to our client's location, you will need access to your own vehicle.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role
2. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
