Job Title: Social Worker - Court & Locality - Manchester

About the Role:
Manchester City Council are looking for a social worker for their safeguarding and support service.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will prepare detailed reports and assessments for court proceedings, attend court hearings, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989. You will work closely with legal professionals and other agencies to safeguard children. Your responsibilities include conducting Section 47 enquiries, supporting Children in Need ( CIN ) and Child Protection plans, and engaging directly with families. You will manage a high case load, assess and manage risks to children, and collaborate with other professionals to deliver effective support and achieve the best outcomes for children and families..

To be successful in this role you must have SWE registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, have at least 2 years of post-qualified experience in social work and hold a full UK driving licence.
