If you are experienced in supporting pupils with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in a school, specialist or care setting then this could be the role for you Monarch Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Telford who are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, highly motivated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an identified pupil with Autism (ASD) The school requires an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant who is: experienced supporting pupils or adults with Autism; must have a strong understanding of how a pupil's need can be met within a mainstream setting confident managing challenging behaviour in the classroom and using de-escalation techniques. Team-Teach trained is not essential but would be a great advantage skilled working with pupils with communication difficulties; PECS training is advantageous but not essential able to demonstrate the impact you have had a child's progress and development You would be joining a well established, supportive and welcoming SEN support team, where you would be well supported within your role and development would be highly encouraged.
