Our client based in Enniskillen are looking for Equine Lecturers to join their team
Job Description:
- The development and delivery of education programmes provided by CAFRE
- Plan, prepare and deliver lectures on a range of farrier programmes
- The completion of relevant paper work required for quality assurance management systems
- Assess the competence of students
- Operate at all times to ensure the health and safety of self and others;
- Deliver support for farrier related technology transfer provision;
- Comply with financial procedures and safeguarding of assets at Enniskillen Campus;
- The development and delivery of farrier related industry training programmes to ensure the sustainability of the agri-food industry through the implementation of DAERA policy.
- The development and delivery of farrier related Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) programmes linked to research findings.
- The provision of technical support to DAERA, other Government departments and non-Government organisations on a range of agri-food issues.
- Other duties in line with the needs of DAERA, including driving a Departmental vehicle - (for teaching posts based in CAFRE campuses the successful candidate(s) may be required to drive a Department minibus).
- The above list is not exhaustive but gives an indication of the main duties of the post. The emphasis on particular duties will vary over time according to business needs
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs including maths and english (certificate proof required)
- Hold at least a Diploma of the Worship Company of Farriers (certificate proof required)
- At least 2 years experience working as a qualified farrier
- A full current licence enabling the licence holder to drive in Northern Ireland
- Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative.
Wage:
- £19.55ph (weekly)

Length Of Assignment:
- Up to 31/12/25 (subject to review)
Work Pattern:
- Mainly within 09:00 - 5:00 two days per week
- The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal working hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends / public holidays
