We have an exciting opportunity for a Gift Card and Treasury Administrator to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting into the Treasury Control Manager you will ensure the complete and valid creation and reconciliation of gift cards liabilities, including cards that are issued for less than face value, to correctly account for VAT gift cards. You will ensure accurate raising of invoices for ad-hoc gift card issuances and other sales activity, perform key payment reconciliations, and perform credit control activities to ensure that we suffer limited exposure to credit risk. You'll create and distribute regular reports for relevant stakeholders to a high level of detail.
This is an office-based role out of our Birmingham City Centre head office.
What you'll need to bring to this Gift Card and Treasury Administrator role...
* To process journals for gift cards issued by MAB, both internally and externally. Including cards issued for commission and/or less than face value.
* To raise ad-hoc invoices relating to gift cards and other sales activity and perform credit control - reconciling cash received to invoices raised and chasing outstanding debt where appropriate.
* Perform key checks and payment reconciliations relating to gift cards sold online, through supermarkets, and other third-parties.
* To maintain and distribute reports, including on gift card activity, that are accurate and produced in a timely fashion.
* To liaise with the Marketing team on gift card and sales related matters and support the Treasury Control Manager where required with both internal and external queries.
* Perform checks on gift card creation and redemption to prevent fraud, misuse, and to ensure correct operational procedures are followed by retail and central staff.
* Other journals, reconciliations, and ad-hoc duties including, but not limited to, L&D, bookings, and vouchering.
What skills you will need to bring to this Gift Card and Treasury Administrator role...
* Experience of using MS Excel
* Knowledge of general ledger, key financial entries, and reconciliation desirable.
* Invoicing and credit control experience useful
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths & English
* Studying for accounting/finance qualification desirable
