As a Staircasing Consultant at LiveWest, you will play a key role in guiding our shared ownership customers through the process of purchasing additional shares in their home. You will deliver exceptional service, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support and Sales Progression: Deliver first-class customer service, guiding buyers through their staircasing journey while liaising with solicitors, estate agents and financial advisers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to streamline the sales process, ensuring efficient and timely transactions.
- Staircasing Promotion and Events: Proactively engage with customers to promote staircasing opportunities, organising events and creating targeted marketing campaigns to encourage participation.
- Technical Expertise and Compliance: Provide expert guidance on lease extensions, deed variations, and valuations while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and Homes England guidelines.

This role is being offered on a permanent, full time basis. This is an office based role based in our Exeter office. Hybrid working is available for this role, working 2 - 3 days per week in the office, dependent on business need.
About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Staircasing Consultant, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
- Understanding and experience of monitoring financial information.
- Ability to liaise and negotiate with a range of customers both internally and externally.
- Sound knowledge of the development process for speculative residential development.
- Proficient and experienced at using relevant business systems.
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
- Desirable: Previous experience in property sales.
- Desirable: Knowledge of conveyancing, mortgages and home surveys.
