Progress Teachers are currently recruiting for a compassionate and patient SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a lovely primary school in Alfreton This is a varied role which involves working within the classroom, delivering small group interventions and working 1-1 where required. This is a long-term position (until the end of the academic year) with an immediate start date. Working hours are (phone number removed)pm Monday-Friday up until July 2025. Roles and responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN (non-verbal) across EYFS-KS2. Deliver 1:1 targeted interventions in Speech and Language. Adapt your approach to fit each pupil’s individual needs. Help to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Requirements: Must have previous experience working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of supporting individuals with SEN is desirable. Experience working with students who are non-verbal is advantageous. Experience of working in a Primary school setting is beneficial. Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one). Be able to provide x2 satisfactory references.
