The Opportunity
In this role you will be reporting into the Site Engineering Manager and you will be responsible for people, maintenance of the plant, buildings and services. Additionally the role will ensure that all machinery is ready for planned production requirements, as well as ensuring buildings and other services are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will have responsibility for Health and Safety and for embedding a safe ways of working culture within the team
* You will need to manage, motivate and develop the engineering team - making sure that the right resources are in place to provide an efficient and effective service.
* Work with the Engineering Manager to develop the site engineering strategy which in turn will support the short and long term business strategy
* Contractor management and service contract ownership and implementation
* KPI and budget management and monitoring.
The Ideal Candidate

* IOSH managing safely or equivalent
* HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering
* Manufacturing experience within a supervisory role ideally within food manufacturing but other backgrounds will be considered
* Experienced in CMMS systems and a good understanding of Microsoft tools such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Email
* Good level of numeracy to accurately monitor the budget
