Igloo Thermo Logistics is a national temperature-controlled distribution company operating across three depots in the UK. They have depots in Leeds, Luton and Taunton and are currently celebrating their 20th Anniversary.
Nationally they run over 125 vehicles ranging from sprinters to artics. Across the three depots, they employ over 200 employees and complete over 5,000 deliveries per week.

Job Title: Transport Supervisor/ Planner
Salary: £32,000 P/A
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 18:30
Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays)
Location: Chard, Somerset, TA20 1BB
We seek a highly organised and motivated Transport Manager/ Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily operations of our transport department, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, and monitor daily transport operations to ensure timely deliveries.
* Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal departments to coordinate logistics and resolve any operational issues.
* Optimize route planning to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery services.
* Ensure all transport activities comply with legal and safety regulations.
* Track vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with road safety standards.
* Generate reports on transport performance and identify areas for improvement.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in transport management software. Planning tools used are Paragon,PODFather and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Knowledge of UK road networks and compliance regulations is an advantage.
