About The Role
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis. You will join a team of dedicated Quality Control Inspectors identifying any bodywork defects on vehicles within the preparation department. The ability to work collaboratively, efficiently and with a close eye for detail are all essential within a vehicle refurbishment and quality control environment. This role reports into the Quality Control Supervisor. You will be responsible for making sure that quality of our vehicles is always maintained within MO standards at our Coalville site working in a dedicated Quality Control building. This is an exciting opportunity for a logical individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspecting all stock vehicles entering the preparation department in a timely manner.
2. Identifying all areas of concern including scratches, dents and poor previous repairs.
3. Allocating rectification to correct department i.e. Bodyshop or SMART repair.
4. Liaising with the Bodyshop and SMART department management teams.
5. Reporting Health and Safety issues to shift management immediately.
6. Raising issues to the management as soon as possible.
7. Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
8. Achieving the KPIs attributed to this role.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience in this job role, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and be able to adapt your inspection as per required amendments.
Minimum Criteria:
1. A good level of experience within a Vehicle Inspection/Assessment and/or Bodyshop position.
2. Full UK Driving Licence.
3. Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
4. Proven organisational skills and effective communicator.
5. Have a flexible and ‘can do’ approach to work.
6. Ability to work fast and efficiently.
7. Disciplined and process driven.
8. Fast paced mindset.
9. Keen eye for detail.
