The Nuclear Medicine Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary combines a high quality, comprehensive clinical service with a strong academic record and has a distinguished history of service innovation. It is well equipped with a state-of-the-art PET/CT centre (including PET/CT, a cyclotron and full radio-chemistry facilities), 3 dual headed gamma cameras, and a counting laboratory and provides a radio-nuclide therapy service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, highly motivated Radiographer/ Technologist/ Scientist with imaging skills and a desire to work in this cutting edge imaging environment.
For appointment at Band 6 you must hold a relevant degree (Radiography, Clinical Technology, Clinical Physiology, Applied Physics or equivalent), have practical patient facing imaging experience and be eligible for HCPC registration or equivalent.
For strong candidates who do not fulfil all of the essential criteria we will consider appointment at a lower Band combined with support to undergo the IPEM Clinical Technologist training Scheme will be provided.
