Are you a data enthusiast with an eagle eye for detail?
Do you love the thrill of finding hidden insights and ensuring data perfection?
Well we're on the look out for a meticulous Data Screener to join our agile team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love diving into data to ensure accuracy and quality, we want to hear from you. Detectronic is expanding our "DetecData Live" Sewer Network Monitoring, Analytical, Consultancy, and Reporting Division, and we want YOU to be part of the wave!
About Us:
Our specialist department provides essential network management services to UK Water and Sewerage Companies (WaSCs) and MOD Clients. These services ensure optimal operational performance, address environmental challenges, and help WaSCs exceed their Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs) as mandated by Ofwat.
Your Role in the Flow:
Human review of data is the crucial capstone of the largely automated analytical services we offer. At the Detectronic Data Centre, we monitor near real-time data, providing Screening, Analysis, and critical Intervention-Reporting Services. Our mission? To help our customers reduce flooding, prevent sewer overflows, and protect our watercourses from pollution.
Skills to Make a Splash:
We're looking for someone with excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of IT and systems (especially Microsoft Office), and top-notch interpersonal skills. As this is a remote position, self-motivation and organisation are key. You'll be monitoring and analysing incoming Flow, Level, and Weather Data daily. An understanding of hydrology and hydraulics is a plus, but we do provide on-the-job training. Reviewing system outputs against historical data before issuing Client Action Reports will be part of your daily routine.
What We Seek:
You naturally pay attention to detail, have a positive attitude towards life and work, and possess the aptitude for a data-oriented career. You have a genuine interest in improving the environment and able to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The Fine Print:
Specialist training will be provided as needed (but you will need experience in a similar background), and all necessary equipment supplied. The position requires weekend work, with hours from 6am to12pm, 30 hours a week, 5 days out of 7. Depending on your location, training will be conducted at the Colne office or over Teams. You'll accrue one extra holiday day for each full year of service, up to five days (pro rata). We offer a generous company contributory pension scheme and a bi-annual bonus based on company performance.
What we can offer you:
* Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave
* Company pension
* Life assurance scheme (x4 salary)
* Medicare Cash Plan (includes cash payments towards dental, medical, therapeutic treatments) with the option to add up to 4 dependants
* Refer a friend scheme
* Employee assistance programme (access to GP appointments and mental health support)
* Competitive annual leave plus bank holidays
* Training and career progression opportunities
