Production Planner

About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a well:established and forward:thinking manufacturer, we are looking to appoint an experiencedProduction and Scheduling Plannerto support their growing operations team. This is a key role, focused on ensuring production schedules are met, resources are effectively allocated, and communication between departments remains clear and consistent.

Main Responsibilities:
: Planning and Scheduling:Develop and manage detailed production schedules in line with customer requirements and company objectives. Work closely with departments including Sales, Procurement, Design, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth execution.
: Interdepartmental Liaison:Maintain clear and proactive communication across teams to synchronise planning efforts, resolve scheduling issues, and provide status updates.
: Order Review and Delivery Commitments:Assess incoming sales orders and confirm feasible delivery dates. Support in tracking project and product contracts, and assist with cost estimation.
: Repairs Scheduling:Approve and plan customer repair work, ensuring capacity and turnaround times are well managed.
: Issue Resolution:Identify potential delays or bottlenecks in production and implement corrective actions to maintain workflow efficiency.
: Reporting:Compile and analyse reports on production performance, providing insights to help drive improvements.
: Continuous Improvement:Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
What We're Looking For:
: Education:Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent hands:on industry experience.
: Experience:2:3 years' experience in a similar production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
: Technical Skills:Strong proficiency with planning systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP software is highly advantageous.
: Analytical Thinking:Ability to interpret data, forecast accurately, and make informed decisions to support production efficiency.
: Process Knowledge:Familiar with manufacturing processes and lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
: Communication:Clear and confident communicator, capable of building strong working relationships across multiple departments.
: Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy and organisation when managing schedules and monitoring output.
