Key Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and mentor the engineering team, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture. Ensure all production and packing assets operate at peak efficiency, maintaining consistent quality and throughput. Implement and execute an Asset Care strategy to optimize machine uptime and efficiency. Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all engineering regulations and standards. Monitor and reduce downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance, leveraging data-driven decision-making and root cause analysis (RCA). Work cross-functionally with production and technical teams to drive continuous improvement and collaboration. Manage the Repairs and Maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective asset management and CAPEX project success. What We’re Looking For Degree or time-served qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline). Proven leadership in an engineering management role within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong understanding of asset care methodologies (TPM, PPM, reliability-centred maintenance). Knowledge of compliance requirements (PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, BRCGS, Health & Safety regulations). IOSH or NEBOSH qualification preferred. Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and cost controls. Change driver - ability to influence stakeholders and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in managing small capital projects, including commissioning and integration. Strong problem-solving skills, lean manufacturing knowledge, and CI methodologies.
