About the Team
We are a caring and committed team serving residents living in Reigate and Banstead who find themselves in need of drawing on care and support. We work with residents who are over 65, who may need care and support, as well as those 65 and younger who have physical disabilities, illness, or sensory impairments.
The Team works closely with carers, family members and partner organisations to enable residents to live their best possible life, without leaving anyone behind. We are committed to ensuring carers and family members feel supported, given the vital role they perform in the life of those who matter most to them.
We are a professional team made up of Social Care and Occupational Therapist Assistants and Social Workers and Occupational Therapists and are committed to learning and team development at both an individual and team level.
About the Role
As a Senior OT, through servant leadership, you will support the day-to-day running of our friendly, busy and dynamic team, effectively prioritising daily challenges and expectations. You will support the OT Assistant Team Manager to deliver high quality, personalised adult social care.
You will have a complex caseload which you will manage effectively by applying your skills of prioritising risk, organising your time and using effective case management strategies, e.g. virtual assessments, to ensure you provide an excellent and time efficient service to clients.
You will take responsibility to be a resourceful, confident and competent OT who the team respects and can turn to for support. You will know your strengths and areas of development and balance these in the day-to-day interactions with colleagues and clients while taking every opportunity to become the best OT you can be. In addition, you will make every effort to support your team to do the same.
You will be encouraged to have an active lead role in service and staff development – identifying areas needing improvement and presenting and implementing action plans which will facilitate optimal performance.
Positive risk taking is encouraged with supervision. If you are a pragmatic, driven and creative occupational therapist, who is willing, and have the courage to, bring about change then this may be the right environment for you to flourish in and become the best you can be.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence you have the following:
