Credit Controller - Lloyds Market Insurance
About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring that the financial flow remains smooth and that all accounts are maintained and reconciled accurately, ensuring the accurate collection and allocation of payments. This role is key in ensuring timely payments and settlements, managing aged debt, and overseeing policy cancellations when necessary.
Key Duties
1. Manage and actively collect insurance premium payments via telephone, email, and text message.
2. Prepare and process insurer settlements accurately in line with agreed terms and timelines.
3. Reconcile accounts and process and allocate client payments.
4. Negotiate and maintain payment plans.
5. Produce and send out Broker Statements and assist in producing bordereaux.
6. Resolve queries.
7. Chase aged debt.
Key Requirements
1. Credit control experience, ideally working within the insurance industry.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Empathetic approach to vulnerable customers.
4. Excellent negotiation skills.
5. Understanding of regulatory standards and practices.
6. Microsoft Excel knowledge.
7. Experience using Open Gi system is advantageous but not essential.
8. Good understanding of premium finance products is advantageous but not essential.
