We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.
The Role:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support children’s learning, both inside and outside the classroom. You will help to provide a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for students, assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons, supporting small groups, and providing one-to-one help for pupils with additional needs.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting children with their academic work and development in a range of subjects.
- Assisting with classroom management, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Helping children with additional needs, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children to develop independence and confidence.
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning materials and activities.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has experience working with children, preferably in a school or similar educational setting.
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent).
- Is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
- Has strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting children’s needs.
- Is flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable, but not essential.
