The Position
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about clinical coding and ensuring the accuracy of research data? As a Clinical Coding Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality, standardized coding for clinical studies. Your expertise will support data integrity and regulatory compliance while enhancing the efficiency of research processes.
In this role, you will:
* Serve as the lead clinical coder for assigned studies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
* Utilize MedDRA and WHODrug coding dictionaries to code adverse events, medical history, and concomitant medications.
* Review electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) for precision and compliance with study protocols.
* Contribute to protocol development, ensuring accurate data collection from the outset.
* Apply FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles to enhance coding processes.
* Lead consistency reviews to maintain data quality across studies.
* Collaborate with study teams, providing coding expertise and recommendations.
* Support training and mentoring efforts to strengthen coding best practices.
Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in clinical coding. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to excellence in data integrity. You bring:
* A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related healthcare field (preferred).
* Experience in clinical research, healthcare, or biotech industries.
* Strong knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
* Familiarity with WHO Drug Dictionary (WHO-DD) and MedDRA (a plus).
* Understanding of electronic data capture (EDC) systems and eCRF design (beneficial but not required).
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
