Job Information:
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time permanent Senior Teaching Assistant to join our class group based at Thistly Meadow Primary School. At Thistly Meadow, we have a specialist-built classroom and teaching environment that sits within the mainstream school community. The students that attend there remain on our roll and are supported by our team but benefit from mixed provision that sees their time working in our room for many subjects but also going through to the mainstream classes for subjects that lend themselves to inclusive teaching or where a young person has a particular interest or aptitude. The students there are fully integrated into the community, taking part in whole school events and special celebrations as well as using the local facilities to enhance their education. The roll would really suit someone who perhaps is looking for that half way house, working with young people with additional needs but who enjoys the hustle and bustle a mainstream school provides.
