Based in Inverclyde, our shipbuilding client requires a Liaison Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

* Experience in AutoCAD and MS Office
* Capable of reading drawings
* Production experience – highly desirable
* Drawing office / design experience – highly desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION
* Day to day point of contact for production staff
* Attend production plan of the day meetings
* Respond to questions raised by the production team, either to directly solve the problem or to capture it in a TQ form in sufficient detail to allow another member of the engineering team to resolve it
* Engage with planning to schedule open TQs to be worked on by the engineering team
* Follow up on TQs raised directly by production to ensure the problem is correctly understood and the right person is engaged to solve it
* Record TQs and maintain the TQ register, tracking TQs to closure, keep production up to date with progress on solving problems
* Inform the rest of the engineering team of opportunities to improve in future, support implementation of lessons learned
