An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Finance Director, based near Gatwick (based on-site 5 days p/w), to oversee the financial operations and prepare for an imminent financial event. My client, considered to be an industry innovator, requires an experienced, commercially driven, finance professional to provide finance, accounting and commercial support across the organisation, and identify and liaise with Corporate Finance and External Investors. Reporting to, and working very closely with, a passionate and driven Managing Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business, add significant commercial value and benefit both professionally and personally from the process. This is a crucial role that provides invaluable exposure to the investment and M&A sector. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Forecasting: Lead the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future financial performance Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals Develop rolling forecasts to provide updated financial projections Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Analyse financial results, providing insights and recommendations to senior management Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modelling Reporting and Dashboards: Prepare and present regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with relevant standards Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and decision-making Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the financial impact of various business decisions Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Director of Finance, Financial Controller, or similar position Strong knowledge of financial accounting, planning, and management principles Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Experience in cost control measures and financial services is highly desirable Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly Relevant qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred, 3-5 years PQE minimum This is a fantastic opportunity for professional and personal growth, for either a first time FD role, or a tenured FD with successful investments already achieved and future career advancement in the investment sector, gaining commercial exposure and adding real value to the expansion and profitability of this cutting edge rapidly growing business.
