What you’ll bedoing:
* Overseeing theproduction of Flight Systems engineering data to meet projectrequirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilstmaintaining quality, cost and scheduleadherence
Liaising with other engineering and project areasin a collaborative environment to develop engineeringsolutions Planning, performing and guiding engineering tasksdependent on lifecycle phase which could include requirementsdevelopment, system and equipment design and development, modellingand analysis, system integration, qualification and certification,and testing Reviewing and approving specifications, reports andproposals, ensuring technical accuracy and task requirements havebeen achieved Steering new systems development throughimplementation of best practice systems lifecycleprocesses Providing leadership, guidance and coaching toother team members, sharing knowledge, expertise and bestpractice Providing overall team leadership and management,including responsibilities for task management and prioritisation,performance management, staff development and support, cost controland technicalquality
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* Degree or equivalentexperience or qualification in relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical/ Aerospace, Mechanical or ElectricalEngineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
* Extensive experience inMechanical, Electrical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably inan aerospace application or in a similar engineering or technologyfocused industry
* Ability to effectivelyresearch system design data and apply to complexproblems
Model-based systems engineering principles, toolsand techniques
* Crew systems, thermalmanagement / environmental control systems, electrical powergeneration and distribution, flying controls, propulsionintegration, actuation systems including electrical, and systemshealth management
* Vehicle control systemdesign, and modelling and simulation of both classical and advancedcontrol systems
Desirable:
* A background indeveloping products within the broader systems engineeringlifecycle and exposure to multiple phases of thelifecycle
Experience of leading and motivating teams todeliver oncommitments
