We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading insurance company that is seeking a talented Team Leader in Leeds.
Our client operates in over 20 countries and is renowned as a world-leader within its chosen markets. The company arranges insurance for some of the most fascinating risks on the planet, and has a reputation for excellence, innovation, and formidable customer service.
This position has arisen as a result of a promotion, which is testament to the impressive career progression available within the company due to its continuous growth.
You’ll provide leadership and direction to the renewal team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. You’ll manage and monitor both team and individual performance, taking action where necessary to improve, and you’ll set SMART goals, managing resources, prioritizing workflow, and reviewing key deliverables. Coaching and developing the team to a high level of performance, you’ll provide excellent service to brokers, prioritizing renewals and mid-term adjustments to ensure deadlines are met. You will be involved with underwriting some risks, as well as attending underwriting and broker meetings to provide insight into developments, trends, and feedback on market conditions.
It's essential that you have strong coaching/mentoring skills to develop the capabilities of all team members. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about the professional development of others, as well as themselves!
We will consider applications from current Commercial Insurance Team Leaders, as well as Senior Underwriters/Brokers (with some mentoring experience), who would like to transition into an official Team Leader role.
It’s not essential that you have experience within Care Insurance as comprehensive training will be provided. However, you must have a commercial insurance background (including Property and/or Liability Insurance) either from an insurance company or broking environment.
Our client operates a hybrid-working arrangement, allowing you to work 2 days from home. The team is well-renowned in the industry for their friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment, and there are lots of sports and social events available, including an incredible annual summer ball!
You’ll be rewarded with a generous basic salary to £60K (Negotiable, depending on experience), plus a highly lucrative 25% bonus scheme and impressive corporate benefits, which include substantial pension contributions and financial bonuses for passing CII qualifications.
