Senior National Account Manager Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 car allowance Location: West Yorkshire – 3 days a week in the office Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior National Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, nurturing, and expanding customer relationships across various UK retail channels, including major grocers and high street as well has heading up and developing the relatively new online and export channels. The role will have one direct report and have full autonomy to develop and drive these channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with top UK grocers and a proven track record of success in senior national account management. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on autonomy and is eager to take full ownership of the commercial performance of their accounts. Duties include: Drive sales growth within your category by developing strategies to increase the performance of existing accounts. Developing the export channels, driving brands and exploring own label opportunities through distributors or buying groups directly. Working with online retail partners and Amazon alongside a 3rd party to build relationships and drive this relatively new area forward. Commercial responsibility – sales to be in line with business goals including accountability for customer gross margins Manage merchandising and marketing plans Create and manage accurate customer forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Supply timely written and verbal market / customer feedback. Analyse and develop strategic account action plans using customer data, competitor analysis, and retail/category information Attend sales meetings, training programs, and industry specific trade shows as required Advise customers on new and current products, order status, and pricing Analyse market trends and competitor activity and become an expert within your product category Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Accounting. Requirements for the role: Minimum 5 years successful national account management experience in consumer products within Grocer and high street channels Top grocer experience is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling sales presentations/promotions.
