Head of Contracting – Industrial Refrigeration Projects
A leading specialist in industrial refrigeration is seeking a strategic and commercially focused Head of Contracting/ Operations to oversee a nationally recognised Projects Division, delivering bespoke refrigeration solutions across the food and beverage sectors in the UK.
The Role:
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for driving performance, profitability, and delivery standards across a team of Project Managers and technical professionals.
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery — from order through to handover — ensuring operational, commercial, and contractual compliance across all contracting activities. Projects typically involve complex refrigeration systems delivered for large-scale end users.
Head of Contracting / Head of Operations – Ideal Background:

A proven track record in contracting/project delivery, ideally within industrial refrigeration or a related technical engineering environment
*
Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and financial P&L
*
Strong understanding of commercial contracts and client engagement
*
Experience in developing new contracting strategies for division-wide improvement
*
A technical background with a solid grasp of refrigeration technologies and installation standards
*
Excellent people leadership, communication, and planning skills
*
Previous experience in senior-level roles such as Project Manager, Operations Manager, or Contract Manager
