Support Worker Blyth / Cramlington, Northumberland at £12/h
About the Role:
Role: Support Worker
Pay: From £12.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Contract: Full-Time 36h per week / Part-Time 24h per week / Bank.
Availability: 7-days per week for days, sleep-in, awake nights, plus rota of weekend shifts.
Schedule: Shifts are variable and are based on client needs and can consist of:
1. Days: 8am - 8pm / 8am - 10pm / 3pm - 8pm / 10am - 6pm
2. Awake nights: 8pm - 8am
3. Sleep-in: 10pm - 8am
Driving: Licence is preferred but not essential.
Location: You will be regionally employed to support our services across the Blyth / Cramlington Area.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. To understand and respond to the specific needs of the client.
2. To respect the rights, needs and dignity of the client while seeking to ensure that their behaviour does not harm themselves and other people.
3. To help create a calm, happy and supportive environment, which promotes the physical and emotional health, security, individuality, and self-esteem of the client.
4. To establish and maintain the trust and confidence of client and those who are important to them.
5. To create opportunities for the client to develop, establish and maintain personal relationships and social networks, which encourage greater participation and presence in their own community.
6. To participate in training in order to develop the skills necessary to provide the best support to the client and to improve and maintain your knowledge and skills.
7. To attend staff meetings, training, and reviews some of which may be outside your working hours.
8. To report immediately any incidence, suspicion, or sign of physical or verbal abuse, neglect, or harm of a client, as outlined in the Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure.
9. To be responsible for ensuring that all drugs and medicines are securely stored and administered safely and correctly.
10. To monitor client wellbeing and progress and document notes / complete daily record sheets.
11. To report back to line manager on any aspect of the client’s care which, in the view of the care/support worker, warrants investigation or urgent action.
