Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Stockport Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day A secondary school in Stockport is looking for a Cover Supervisor for a long-term position, offering support across various subjects. This role will involve maintaining an engaging and structured learning environment in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring that students stay on task and follow the set curriculum. Responsibilities: Manage classroom activities and oversee student behaviour to keep students focused during lessons Deliver pre-set lesson plans and facilitate group discussions, ensuring students understand assigned tasks Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respectful interactions Address questions and provide clarification as needed, especially for individual or small group learning needs Communicate effectively with other staff, providing feedback on student engagement and behaviour after each lesson Requirements: Prior experience in a school environment, ideally within a supervisory or support role Strong classroom management skills and an ability to foster a productive learning environment Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND Excellent communication skills to engage students and collaborate with teaching staff Opogo benefits: Opogo Education is the alternative to supply teaching agencies.
