Job Position: HVAC Layout Engineer
Key Information:
1. Experience: From 3 to 15 years
2. Industry: Energy industry experience required (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…)
3. Nuclear: Preferred; good knowledge of general HVAC layout rules for industrial projects
4. Skills: Coordination, open point, problem solving, and good knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station including safety aspects (flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures…)

Location: Bridgewater - United Kingdom
Expertise:
Key responsibilities include:
1. Requesting input data for layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, etc.) and analyzing it for technical consistency.
2. Carrying out layout engineering or proposing improvements to resolve multi-disciplinary layout issues (e.g., HVAC equipment and design HVAC ducts in the 3D model).
3. Writing related technical documents (progress reports, change impact analysis, design procedures, handover reports to manufacturing suppliers, etc.).
4. Implementing modifications in the 3D-Model, ensuring consistency of changes to components and equipment, civil structures, steelwork, pipework, HVAC ducts, instrumentation, electrical cable trays, boxes, and cabinets.
5. Performing surveillance activities on detail designer engineering production and producing packages to support maturity reviews with main stakeholders.
Qualifications:
You need to:
1. Interact with all groups/sections related to the building, particularly with other HVAC engineers, layout engineers, civil engineers, systems and contracts engineers, and the team analyzing internal hazards.
2. Possess HVAC systems knowledge (e.g., thermal loads) preferred.
3. Have good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
4. Demonstrate the ability to take a strategic view, manage multiple interfaces, summarize effectively, be proactive, and meet commitments and deadlines.
You will be required to write clearly-expressed and well-presented reports and apply logical thinking.
Software and Tools:
Knowledge and experience of using PDMS/E3D preferred.
