Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.
The Role:
Are you ready to step into a role that offers not just a job but a fulfilling career path? As an Inspection and Testing Electrician, you’ll be contracted for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime—often at increased rates. And yes, we provide a company van to make your life easier!
This position is crucial as we gear up for upcoming inspection and testing projects with Wessex Water. Your expertise will be greatly valued!
Your Responsibilities:
* Carry out electrical installations in strict compliance with BS7671 and our Safety Rules.
* Uphold all Health and Safety regulations diligently.
* Deliver high-quality installations aligning with project specifications and inspection plans.
* Champion our STAR dynamic risk assessment approach, advocating for safety at every turn.
* Mentor and inspire the next generation of Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
* Foster a positive and safe environment, embodying the Bridges’ values in all interactions.
* Be a beacon of professionalism, elevating the Bridges brand with pride!
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as an approved electrician with a knack for testing and inspection
* ECS Gold Card holder (essential)
* Test & Inspection Level 3 certificate (essential)
* Fitness to work medical certification (can be complete on commencement of employment)
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable
* Experience in water, or industrial sectors
* PASMA / EUSR / IPAF certifications
* Confined space training
* First aid qualifications.
