We are looking for a knowledgeable Building Surveyor who is looking to develop their career on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for someone to join their dedicated team where you will be managing planned works to social housing properties across Wtilshire & Hampshire
Main Responsibilities:
In this role you will be working as part of a team to carry out property inspections on tenanted and void properties, identifying planned maintenance and repairs required to the externals of properties
Undertake domestic and commercial surveys to provide on matters including construction defects, disrepair and dilapidations such as rendering, lintels and Helibars
Put together detailed reports and scope of works, including your findings and options for remedial solutions with cost estimations and proposals regarding safe methods of work
Provide advice to colleagues regarding legislative matters such Planning and Building Regulations approval etc
Responsible for contract management, overseeing works from star to finish and ability to develop and build trusting relationships with external contractors
Assist with the preparation of reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and if necessary, ensuring that contracts are determined in line with the authority delegated under Standing Orders
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including decisions to achieve business outcomes, developing and maintaining rapport and working relationships
Job Requirements:
relevant qualification in construction or surveying, e.g. HNC/HND
Knowledge of Specification writing and Contract management (KPI’s / monthly meetings, processing valuations etc)
A full driving licence
