About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in [Specify Location]. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to provide high-quality occupational therapy services, supporting individuals to regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy interventions to meet the needs of service users.
2. Work with individuals who have a range of physical, mental health, or learning disabilities.
3. Provide leadership and support to junior occupational therapists and therapy assistants.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, social workers, and medical professionals.
5. Develop individualized treatment plans and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
6. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate adaptations or equipment.
7. Deliver training and education to service users, families, and carers.
8. Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.
9. Stay up to date with the latest research, techniques, and developments in occupational therapy.
Essential Requirements:
1. Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
2. HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
3. Significant post-qualification experience in occupational therapy.
4. Strong understanding of current legislation, policies, and best practices.
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
6. Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
1. Experience working in a hospital, community, or rehabilitation setting.
2. Knowledge of specialist equipment and adaptations.
3. Experience with complex case management.
4. Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) is an advantage.

2. Develop supportive relationships with families, friends, and neighbours.
3. Support people to access community groups and voluntary organisations.
4. Support people to use universal services as far as possible.
5. Assist people in accessing appropriate social prescribing and wellbeing services.
6. Provide technical expert information, advice, support, and training to staff.
7. Contribute or lead case management procedures including case conferences, safeguarding reviews, and best interest decision-making.
8. Work collaboratively across adult social care and its partners.
9. Ensure adaptations to people's homes are delivered to meet their needs.
10. Maintain own continued professional development in line with HCPC requirements and the RCOT career framework.
