Job summary The Emergency Assessment Unit at Grantham is looking for a new ward manager. We are looking for a dynamic individual with great ideas and a passion for providing high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will have a drive to develop and improve services. EAU is a 24/28 bedded assessment area caring for medical patients. We admit patients from SDEC, UTC, GPs and clinics. Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to take on the role of the ward manager. You will be responsible for day to day running of the department, with the support of the band 6 team. You must be able to communicate at all levels, be a strong patient advocate and have a good understanding of the principles of general medical nursing. EAU have an established MDT and we pride ourselves in the fact that we work as a team to support our patients journey through the hospital. We work closely with the UTC and SDEC at Grantham. About us Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
