* Developing and managing requirements and acceptancecriteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system ofsystems, platform orprogramme Understanding thecontractual and performance requirements for various systems, andsupporting the definition and associated acceptance criteria andevents through design, build, integration, installation andcommissioningactivities Producing documentationrequired to support the design review process, including: diagrams;technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidenceand justifications
* Reviewingrelevant supplier documentation and ensuring it is captured andrecordedappropriately Supporting the developmentof estimates for the scope of work and resources required todeliver it in order to support bids, proposal development andproject planning activities for varioussystems
Yourskills and experiences:
Essential
* Providetechnical oversight forfunctional design for C&I solution for complexpropulsion, mechanical and electrical systems, including derivingthe functional design from Piping & Instrumentation diagrams Degree level qualification(or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/ Maths/Science) Experience in reviewing theC&I design for a complex system ensuring it meets a wide rangeof requirements, such as functional, defence standards, industrialstandards, etc.
* Experience with managing non-functional requirements(i.e. EMC, shock, etc.) meeting industrialcompliance Experience of authoringand/or reviewing design documents, such as I/O schedules,functional design specification, functional chronicle, interfacecontrol document,etc.
Desirable
* Legacyunderstanding of submarine design programmes and the key designdeliverables withinthis Understanding of controlsystem architecture and communication protocols (i.e. RS-485,PROFIBUS)
