Wages Admin Assistant Blue Arrow are currently hiring for a Wages Administration Assistant to provide an effective and efficient administration service to our client based on the west side of Edinburgh. The duties include accurate data input, basic financial reconciliation, ordering, purchasing, receipt, and distribution of prisoner sundry purchases. The role also involves supporting other members of the Central Services with additional admin work as required. Key Responsibilities: 1. Carry out payment and administration of prisoner wages in accordance with the Wage Earning Policy, Finance & Guidance Policy, operating standards, and procedures. 2. Accurately check and input all Wages on PR2 weekly. 3. Check Wage Sheets submitted from various areas prior to inputting on PR2. 4. Process orders for weekly newspapers, magazines, and sundry purchases, reconciling expenditure against income using PR2 reports. 5. Deduct Personal Cash for purchases including newspapers, magazines, and sundries weekly, reconciling to supplier invoices. 6. Address any inquiries related to wages and assist colleagues in Central Services (e.g. Stores/Canteen), which involves manual handling. Person Specification: Qualifications: 2 National 5 at Grade C or above (including English & Maths) or equivalent qualifications, or at least a minimum of 6 months relevant admin experience. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration. Competent in the use of Microsoft Packages. Previous experience of financial reconciliations.
