Role: Accounts Payable Manager

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm
Rate: £17.00 - £19.00p/h, depending on experience
A temporary position has become available for a Accounts Payable Manager, to join a fantastic SME Media Publishing business as part of their Finance team. The company, based in North West London, creates a series of magazines, newspapers, digital platforms and websites. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:
* Oversee the accounts payable team and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
* Monitor and analyse accounts payable processes and recommend improvements
* Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures
* Work with other departments, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
* Manage vendor relationships
* Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports
* Facilitate accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
* Train and develop accounts payable staff
* Ensure the effective operation of the core bank reconciliation process, investigating any variances and discrepancies
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
The ideal Accounts Payable Manager will have:
* To excel in this AP role, you will evidence significant recent, relevant experience working within a similar end-to-end Accounts Payable job, ideally within a sole charge capacity.
* Strong knowledge of Sage 200
* You will be well-organised with the ability to deal with senior business stakeholders in an assertive manner, in order to meet deadlines.
* Media industry experience is highly desirable
* You will have experience working with multiple currencies.
* Intermediate Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
* Awareness of applicable VAT rates
* Excellent communication skills, able to build effective working relationships across the organisation.
