Providing asset valuation and management expertise to the Constabulary which includes: all property, land and building valuation work; the development of informed, data driven asset management plans and acquisition/disposal strategies; and the management and oversight of leasehold tenancies.
Main Responsibilities:
* To lead in the negotiation of all matters relating to freehold and leasehold acquisitions, disposal of property, valuations, landlord and tenant matters, easements, wayleaves, rights of way boundary and ownership disputes.
* To undertake statutory valuations of assets for accounting purposes.
* Prepare reports and estimates for submission to committees, Chief Officers and external parties on all aspects of land and property matters.
* To ensure efficient and timely financial processes are maintained with respect to payments associated with leasehold properties, tenancies, balancing charges and debt recovery.
What do you need:
* Hold full membership of the RICS (Valuation) conforming to the professional codes of practice.
* Experience of undertaking land and building inspections and property reviews.
* Experience of undertaking statutory valuations.
* Experience of negotiating all matters relating to estates and assets.
* You will be required to travel in this role, therefore holding a full UK driving licence would be required.

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working:
Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible. This role has been identified as a blended role. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
