Closing Date for Application: Saturday 09/11/2024 Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation design, develop and manufacture thermoplastic piping systems for civils and infrastructure projects with the industry’s widest choice of water management, surface water drainage, sewer and cable protection systems. The Role: Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor the Quality Controller will be responsible for inspection of products & improvement of production related processes. Based at the Horncastle site, the role will work mainly between the Laboratory & shop floor, with occasional visits to our Loughborough manufacturing site, construction sites & suppliers. Within the role you also will be required to support the business in providing robust and effective systems and controls, accurate information and also promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 with a weekend working requirement to cover 1 in 3. It would be for up to 4hours Saturday & Sunday paid at Overtime rate. Key Accountabilities: Testing of finished products Material testing & Calibration support the other Laboratory personnel as & where necessary Inspection of finished goods and yard. Compression & Stiffness Testing RMA (return) & Goods Inwards inspection. Conduct IMS internal audits & Supplier audits Continuous Improvement projects involvement Ensuring that we retain our company certification and products approvals from BSI, BBA and WRC Corrective & Preventative Actions The Person: Previous experience of QA / Laboratory testing / Plastic manufacturing would be desirable but not essential.
