The Occupational Therapy rotation offers the opportunity to work in the following care settings; Cardio/Respiratory/Frailty, Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke Rehabilitation, REACT (A&E service), Discharge services, and Hand Therapy. Services are based at Leighton Hospital and community locations in central Cheshire. Preceptorship training is available and support to develop through a CPD programme with each team. The role will require clear assessment and goal planning skills and the ability to carry your own caseload prioritising your patients. To undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and to work as autonomous clinicians, under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression.
