Job Description Services Strategy Manager – Business Development Full Time Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Development Team as a Services Strategy Manager. This team is responsible for the development, design, implementation support and performance management of Rolls-Royce Civil large engines Services Portfolio (CareStore) vision and strategies. We support future programmes in the services area of expertise and support Customer Team strategic initiatives. We lead industry and market understanding and use strategic approaches to provide solutions to complex business problems. Our key purpose is to improve our financial returns (Margin, Risk, Price points and Cashflow). Responsibilities: Analyse the external business and competitive environment and develop appropriate models, analysis and “stories” to support and inform strategy development and develop organisation awareness Lead the identification of programmes that support the creation, development and deployment of business strategies that meet overall business goals Evaluate or develop comprehensive, affordable business cases and plans in support of business strategies. Facilitate successful strategy execution through effective internal and external communication, leadership and programme management and manage the effective handover of this activity to implementation teams as appropriate. Develop or apply tools and methods to improve strategy development. Provide business support and contribution to strategy and lead on specific tasks as appropriate. Provide input and oversight to cross-functional integrated teams. Support engagement with external businesses, as appropriate, to influence future policy, funding and strategy. Why Rolls-Royce? Good financial and business acumen and understanding of our core markets. Educated to a degree level in scientific, business or analytical field, or equivalent experience. Strong Excel skill (vlookup, pivot tables, simple macros), experience of data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
