Account Director - Events and Creative Communications Agency
Reporting to: Client Director
Hybrid: 1-2 days in London office
**You must be UK based for this role, previous agency-side experience in Events and Creative communications agencies is a must**
Main Purpose of Role:
Account owner across a portfolio of the company’s accounts, building exceptional relationships, constructing campaigns and solutions against briefs, and identifying & converting new opportunities for sales growth. Executing account management and business development strategies to deliver growth by service line, driving client retention, repeat business, upselling, and client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:

* Create strategic account plans, take ownership for the execution of the plans and achievement of margin targets and KPI’s for the designated accounts in supporting the company strategy and growth plans
* Contribute to strategic creative briefs, idea generation and campaign execution, ensuring the client’s brand is represented, and assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of client briefs through active team management
* Lead the agency relationship with designated accounts to ensure that key stakeholders become advocates of our business
* Review and adapt approaches to benefit the client needs, amend and align account plans where necessary
* Employ the marketing strategy to grow your accounts, maximise income opportunities, provide best value for the client using a Business Development approach
* Lead pitch teams to convert opportunities to wins by ensuring our solutions meet/exceed the client brief
* Lead business review meetings with the key client stakeholders
* Manage client activity through the CRM system
* Maintain systems and records, ensuring information and metrics are accurate and timely for client reporting, provide data as required for commercial discussions, adhere to the company’s policies and procedures
* Perform line management responsibilities for designated direct reports
* Foster internal business/team relationships across all functions in the company
Accountable for:
* Owning and exceeding annual budgeted sales and margin targets for you and your team’s accounts
* Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve targeted revenue stream splits, client retention, growth and expanding the customer base.
* Building and maintaining strong long-lasting customer relationships
* Identifying business opportunities by keeping track of competitor activity
* Leading the strategic approach to deliver 4.5/5 client satisfaction scores within your and your team’s accounts
* Creating high performance teams, ensuring their development, efficiency and productivity
* Add value by anticipating and identifying your clients' challenges and providing solutions

Experience & requirements:
* In depth knowledge of the events industry, with leadership or management skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, coping with conflicting demands and prioritisation
* Demonstrable experience as an account lead delivering growth
* Excellence in analysis and interrogation of new briefs and information
* Confident to propose and lead bold innovative solutions
* Excellent business development experience and confidence when leading innovative/bold solutions
* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong financial and commercial understanding
* Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
