Your newpany
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting this established business near Wroxham, which has a newly created finance & administration role covering purchase, ledger, reconciliations and office administration to include HR admin as well as collating payroll data.
Your new role
In this newly created Accounts Administrator / Accounts Clerk job you will support the finance team with all aspects of the purchase ledger from creating new suppliers, obtaining a PO number to approve supplier payments, including reconciling various bank accounts and allocating cash sales. You will also assist with general bookkeeping duties across the ledgers, updating petty cash, raising sales invoices and other ad-hoc project work using Sage Line 50.
You will also be the point of contact for HR admin and payroll covering setting up new starters, ensuring payroll data is collated and passed to the outsourced payroll provider. During busy periods, you will act as cover for the administration booking teams in checking & re-arranging customer bookings, raising amendments and ensuring all payments have been transferred to the finance systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in transactional finance, mainly covering all aspects of purchase invoicing, bank reconciliations and allocating cash to customer accounts. As part of the small finance team, you will need to have experience of double-entry bookkeeping to understand the multiple postings across the ledgers with a focus on the correct cost-codes.
As explained, the role will involve office administration covering HR admin and collating payroll data, so this newly created role will involve accounts and office administration with the possibility the duties will be more finance-focused, depending on your experience.
What you'll get in return
The organisation offers apetitive salary of between £25,000 - £32,000 depending on your experience, a 40-hour working week based on a 5-day week, which may include weekends / Bank Holidays during busy periods.
