Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we have a great opportunity for a highly motivated person to join our Admin Team working in the Pharmacy Directorate at the University Hospital of North Midlands Trust.
Based in the Pharmacy Department at the Royal Stoke University Hospital of North Midlands, this post will support the Pharmacy Senior Management Team in ensuring all deadlines and turnaround times are met. The post holder will offer support in times of absence to ensure service delivery suffers no disruption.
This is an ideal post for someone with administration experience looking to work in a small, busy, friendly team.
Main Duties of the Job
Key tasks include:
* Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Management Team and to the Pharmacy Directorate as a whole.
* Supporting work for the education and training of staff and workforce initiatives as directed by the Clinical Director of Pharmacy.
* Proactively supporting the Pharmacy Administration and Clerical Team to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided.
* General Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Health & Safety operations.
The applicant must be extremely flexible in their approach to work and be able to work as part of a team, ensuring all targets and deadlines are achieved within the department.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* 4 GCSEs (C and above including Maths and English) or equivalent.
* DSE Assessor.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
* Development and maintenance of robust systems to ensure effective administration and organisation.
* Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment.
* Confidence/experience in Business Administration.
* Taking minutes and using audio transcription to type minutes/documentation.
* Diary Management.
* Ability to work as an effective team member.
* Good communicator - written and oral.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Intranet, and Internet.
* Ability to deal confidently with healthcare teams and the public.
* Ability to work unsupervised and within departmental guidelines/SOPs.
* Pride in establishing and maintaining high standards of work and attention to detail.
* Experience of working in an office environment within a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of NHS policies.
* Knowledge and experience of the hospital email system.
* Experience of preparing and managing rotas.

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
