We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join our manufacturing division, based just outside Cardiff. In this role, you will play a key part in managing inventory, coordinating materials for production, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute to a dynamic team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary@ £30,000 per annum (depending on level of qualifications and experience), plus benefits.
Responsibilities will include:
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate materials in support of customer orders and production build schedules.
* Ensure correct stock levels to maintain production requirements and over stocking issues.
* Maintain accurate and complete inventory including finished goods.
* Process customer orders and distribute supporting documentation to various work areas.
* Process work orders and inventory transactions, utilising the Biotage Computer system.
* Maintain and work within the MRP system.
* Request and expedite material ensuring production schedules are maintained in support of production and special project orders.
* Identify improvements as it relates to inventory flow and production control.
* Perform other, ad hoc tasks as needed to support the manufacturing and plant operations.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates the following strengths/competencies:
* Preferably 2 years plus experience in production control, material planning, or inventory control role required.
* Previous experience of using ERP systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Able to prioritise competing tasks and working efficiently.
* Able to work on their own or as part of a team.
* Able to work collaboratively, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Familiarity with standard Microsoft IT packages.
* Knowledge of working to an ISO Quality Management System.
* Good oral and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
